Zonta Says No to Violence against Women - 16 Days of Activism

Violence against women manifests in numerous forms: from sexual abuse, domestic violence, and harassment to forced prostitution, human trafficking, genital mutilation, and the denial of freedom.

To address this urgent issue, the United Nations annually marks the period from November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to December 10 (Human Rights Day) with the “Orange the World” campaign.

This initiative encourages communities around the globe to illuminate buildings in orange—a color symbolizing a brighter, more hopeful future free from violence and discrimination.

Zonta International D27 stands firmly in support of this campaign, amplifying the message with our own initiative: “Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women.”

In line with these efforts, Zonta District 27’s Social Media, Website, Branding, and Visibility Team  is launching a special initiative to broadcast messages of zero tolerance for gender-based violence through 15 impactful reels.
